Album Review: Toys In The Attic (1975)
For fans of: blues rock... and songs that got better when someone else butted in
Classic Aerosmith album featuring the first iteration of the world famous Run DMC Tie-up song, 'Walk This Way'. It has to be said the tie-up version is much better than the one featured here, although the original is not without its merits.
The best song, however, is the Rolling Stone sound-alike 'Sweet Emotion'. This is a great track, and whilst it doesn't make the album itself great, it doesn't do it any harm.
As a whole the album is lacking classic songs. It is likeable and refreshingly funky in places, but ultimately it just isn't that memorable.
Check out... The chorus of 'Walk This Way'. How did they get it so wrong?
