Album Review: The Battle (2005)
For fans of: power metal... and a clash of titans
The mighty pairing in 2005 of ex-Masterplan singer Jorn Lande and Symphony X vocalist Russell Allen was akin to letting off a hydrogen bomb in an electric storm. With so much power on show something was bound to go awry, but actually it didn't.
The album works well, with track after track of solid musical pleasure. There's little that stands head and nipples above anything else,. Equally there's nothing that makes you want to stick a cheese sandwich in your cd player. The album isn't an all time classic, but don't hold that against it... because Russell Allen is bigger than you are.
Check out... 'Wish For A Miracle'. A catchy little number.
