ANBERLIN - stub review added 23rd October 2008
Album Review: Cities (2007)
For fans of: alternative rock... and albums with a clean modern feel
Reasonably likeable 3rd album from Florida based chart chasing rock band.
I have to be honest, this is not my thing. The quality shines through, though the band sound as if they are targeting a very particular audience. Problem is that audience is not me. The spots have long since gone and I no longer mumble or lock myself in my room...
Stephen Christian has a pure voice and the remainder of the band produce a crisp fresh sound. Anberlin's music verges on pop, but with this album they just about keep their posteriors in the genre we love best.
Check out... The winning entrant in an under-4's painting contest, now utilized as an album cover.
