ANNIHILATOR - stub review added 23rd October 2008
Album Review: Metal (2007)
For fans of: heavy metal... and albums featuring a cast of thousands
This album is a musical collaboration between Annihilator deity Jeff Waters and every musician from every other band everywhere. Possibly.
The result is nowhere near as messy as you might expect and, although the sound is a overly groggy/grungy, the songs do grow on you. There's nothing outstanding here, but equally nothing terrible. You also get a bonus disc on some versions, which is nice.
Basically this is a good solid addition to the Annihilator stable, although it may spend more time in the fields chewing grass than winning races.
Check out... The people who performed on this album. Pretty cool.
