Album Review: Set The World On Fire (1993)
For fans of: heavy metal... and iffy singers
3rd album from Jeff Waters and, er, whoever he had playing with him that week. Annihilator, with more line-up changes than a crap army in a war zone, did have the knack of finding singers with dodgy names, dodgy voices, and sometimes both.
Aaron Randall really doesn't sound great here. The quality of guitars and writing on the songs saves most of his blushes, especially on 'Knight Jumps Queen' and the surprisingly good ballad 'Phoenix Rising', but otherwise the album remains a fun rather than great purchase.
Check out... How bad some of the vocals sound.
