Album Review: Persistence Of Time (1990)
For fans of: thrash... and Joe Jackson covers
Anthrax's 1990 album, arguably their best, contains several of their most well known songs including 'Got The Time', 'Keep It In The Family' and 'Belly Of The Beast'. Not quite as accessible as the Metallica and Megadeth albums of the day, but much more focussed on keeping the thrash faith.
'Got The Time' is, rather amazingly, a Joe Jackson cover - his version is almost impossibly annoying. Even more strangely, Anthrax played 'In My World' on an episode of the American sitcom 'Married...With Children'. Don't hold this against them though.
Check out... 'Keep It In The Family'. I dare you to not head bang to it.
