Album Review: Asia (1982)
For fans of: prog rock... and super groups
Asia was mostly formed by members of prog rock outfits. Although the end result owes plenty to its roots, with hints of winding complexity in a few of the songs, the general approach is more about storytelling and popular accessibility.
'Heat Of The Moment' will forever be a rock classic, but several other tracks are worthy of attention. The only strange track is 'One Step Closer' which seems completely out of place. It isn't a bad track, it just doesn't fit in with the sound of the rest of the album.
This debut album is an absolute essential in any collection. It is stuffed with legendary songs and more than deserving of any praise it receives.
Check out... 'Heat Of The Moment', of course.
