Album Review: New World Disorder (1999)
For fans of: hardcore metal... and rap star 'Sticky Fingaz'...
This is certainly an interesting release. The songs themselves are quite catchy. The messages bestowed by the lyrics are, in places, deep and thought provoking. The guitar sound is guttural and encourages you to head bang like a nutcase. The main problem is with the singing.
It sounds like a number of blokes having a loud shouty argument about who is the worst singer. The real winner is no one because they all sound bloody awful. The 'singing' does kind of fit the music, but is there really any excuse for vocals quite this bad? The slower moment 'End Of My Rope' doesn't sound that bad, but they soon start shouting again and it all goes horribly wrong.
A potentially good album ruined by the worst vocals since Stephen Hawking first tried karaoke. Still, go to love it!
Check out... The vocals. Ah ha ha ha ha ha...
