Album Review: Guilty As Sin (2003)
For fans of: hard rock... and compilations which aren't
Joe Lynn Turner, Goran Edman and Jorn Lande provide the vocals for this project, and much like any other album of this style the end result is a tad compilation-like.
Fortunately, what saves Guilty As Sin are the quality of the singers and the quality of the songwriting. Nikolo Kotzen, big daddy of the Brazen Abbot project, clearly has a wealth of talent beneath his dark haired rock-god exterior. There are plenty of chart bothering songs here, but sadly the public at large won't hear them because radio stations don't play this sort of music. Still, those of us in the know can enjoy it with a wry smile on our faces.
