Album Review: Trash (1989)
For fans of: hard rock... and great videos
Trash, best known for the phenomenally successful 'Poison', would be a great album whether it contained that track or not. 'Bed Of Nails', 'House Of Fire' and 'Hell Is Living Without You' are all top-notch songs. The title track even contains an appearance by Jon Bon Jovi and Richie Sambora.
The thing that really sets this album apart from the pack is the consistency. There isn't a duffer on the album and every song, although unique and full of character, has a great sleazy vibe that draws you in and makes you feel just a little bit dirty and used. This is pure rock porn and should come with tissues.
Alice Cooper hit the bed of nails on the head here. Although few of these songs are widely known, they all should be. Utterly filthy and brilliant!
