Album Review: Truth Or Dare (2005)
For fans of: hard rock... and keyboards
Keyboard solo! Yep, this album has plenty of them and there's nowt wrong with that. Featuring the talents of artists including FM's Pete Jupp (drums) and Steve Overland (backing vocals), Change Of Heart has produced a sturdy rock of an album.
There's nothing to blow you away, but it will certainly make you nod your head in quiet admiration. This has the sort of sound that reminds you of an amazing pub band rather than a stadium act, but you can blame the lack of production polish for that. The songwriting and performances are fine and I suspect the band would be staggeringly good live.
If Dennis Ward had been let loose with this it could have been a 90% effort. As is, it's a fine listen and more than worthy of your hard earned cash.
