Album Review: Coverdale Page (Self Titled) (1993)

For fans of: blues rock... and the old Whitesnake/Led Zep debate

Coverdale Page - Coverdale PageInteresting pairing of Whitesnake vocalist David Coverdale and Led Zeppelin guitarist Jimmy Page. The end result, unsuprisingly sounds quite like a mixture of the two bands. When you take into account the fact David Coverdale often sounds like Robert Plant, you are pretty much left with an offshoot Led Zeppelin album.

Plenty of good songs can be found here, especially the ballad 'Take Me For A Little While' which has a certain 'Stairway To Heaven' ring to it. The album zips along at a fair our pace whilst managing to remain chilled and unnervingly cool.

A nice bluesy feelgood album with a lot to recommend it. Fans of Led Zeppelin may be the ones who will lap this up, but most people will find something to enjoy.

Check out... the fact Jimmy Page sounds just as good whatever he does.
