Album Review: The Chemical Wedding (1998)

For fans of: heavy metal... and Iron Maiden

Bruce Dickinson - The Chemical WeddingSounding like, but not the same as Iron Maiden, The Chemical Wedding sees Bruce Dickinson venturing down different alleyways and backwaters of the rock realm. With lashings of metal, rock, folk and all sorts of other music, this album really is a mish-mash of styles.

Few of the songs are overly memorable, but none of them do anything especially wrong. The production is a tad muddy and the songwriting is nothing to tell your folks about, yet the album does have a vibe running through it you can't quite put your finger on.

Not the best or worst album ever, not even Bruce's best or worst. Very middling all round, but worth a listen.

Check out... This album if you are feeling brave.
