Album Review: High 'n' Dry (1981)
For fans of: hard rock... and nods to the past and looks to the future
Featuring their first huge ballad, 'Bringin' On The Heartache', High 'n' Dry's sound is still very much in the vain of their first release, On Through The Night, whilst hinting more at their commercial sounding future.
This was therefore something of a bridging album both in sound and quality. The harmonies were not quite there, the drums and guitar were still a little roar, but the songwriting and catchiness was nearing the right sort of level.
Not bad, but just as with their previous release this doesn't stand the test of time as well as you would hope.
Check out... 'Lady Strange'. Very 70's.
