Album Review: Retro Active (1993)
For fans of: hard rock... and Sweet covers
An album of covers, studio album rejects and b-sides, Retro active should be and indeed is an odd amalgam of songs and sounds, but it actually works well. It suffers from the common Def Leppard problem of putting the good songs at the start and leaving the tale end to fade away, but we'll forgive it on this occasion.
Songs like 'Two Steps Behind', 'Fractured Love' and the cover of Sweet's song 'Action' are especially good and without doubt make the album a worthwhile purchase.
