Album Review: Slang (1996)
For fans of: hard rock... and grunge, strangely
Every decent band needs a 'moment'. This was Def Leppard's.
The grunge seen had obviously either grabbed hold of them creatively, or made them jealous of its sales potential. Either way, this is Joe Elliot et al's stab at that genre.
To be honest it isn't that bad, but it is such a departure from their normal style it just sounds a trifle weird. On the other hand, it is nowhere near as bad as some people make out and does actually have a few brilliant tracks on it.
Check out... 'All I Want Is Everything'.
