Album Review: III (2007)
For fans of: hard rock... and poor production
Unusual but extremely catchy 3rd album from this Swedish melodic rock outfit. Something of a hollowed out wall-of-sound approach to the production, but when you consider this the end result is pretty amazing.
Numerous memorable choruses reside here and the songwriting is of a very high standard. The songs sound similar to each other, something that can be blamed solely on the amateurish production job. This really is another one of those albums that has suffered through lack of initial investment. If a little more had been spent on the production, this could potentially have been a huge album.
As is, it's great and I heartily recommend it. You'll have to forgive the 'characterful' sound. Lets hope they get the chance to redo this release at a later date!
Check out... The woeful production.
