Album Review: Angels Never Die (1993)
For fans of: hard rock... and female singers who can outgun the men
German born singer Doro Pesch has a powerful, highly recognizable voice. Everything she does has an air of familiarity about it you'll either love or despise.
Angels Never Die contains plenty of decent moments, if little of exception. The sound is heavy at times, best demonstrated by 'Born To Bleed', but often becomes plodding and soft. 'Last Day Of My Life', just to be awkward, is as bluesy as a night in New Orleans.
A good album, Angels Never Die does nothing that will blow your mind. Most tracks have a memorable hook and Doro sounds as good (or bad depending on your opinion) as ever.
Check out... 'Heaven With You'. A Catchy little number.
