EDEN'S CURSE - stub review added 3rd November 2008

Album Review: Eden's Curse (Self Titled) (2007)

For fans of: hard rock... and strong debuts

Eden's Curse - Eden's CurseSitting at the heavier end of the hard rock spectrum, Eden's Curse have released a great debut here. Lead Singer Michael Eden has a thoroughly unique voice which gives the band an intriguing sound. It's hard to compare them directly with anyone else, and they don't necessarily tread any new ground. What they do though is give this album enough distinction to separate it from the also-rans.

Several of the songs stick in your mind for a long while, and whilst none are absolutely mind-blowing, at least three quarters of the album is way above average.

WIth a new full album out in 2008, Eden's curse may well become a force to be feared in rock. This is a fine debut, but you get the impression they can and will improve even further.

Check out... Michael Eden's voice.
