Album Review: Wings Of Tomorrow (1984)
For fans of: hard rock... and Sweden
Second release from Europe, Wings Of Tomorrow ably bridges the gap between their initial rock/metal sound to the more mainstream hair rock style they are famed for.
There is much to like here, especially the first couple of classic Europe ballads, 'Open Your Heart' and 'Dreamer'. This is probably their most varied album. On top of the ballads there are heavy rock songs, glam tracks and even, following on from the debut, another instrumental.
This album, more than any of their others, should appeal to a wide fan base. There is plenty for everyone here, and whilst it isn't their best album, it does better their debut.
Check out... Most of it, actually. It's easy to forget just how good Europe are.
