Album Review: Pornograffitti (1990)

For fans of: hard rock... and amazing guitarists

Extreme - Pornograffitti'Get The Funk Out', 'Hole Hearted' and the US no.1 'More Than Words' give this album a superb ear-pleasing foundation. Even if the rest of the tracks were fillers, the album would still come highly rated. Fortunately, the rest of the tracks are way more than mere fillers.

There isn't a bad song on the album and, whilst some tracks may not blow you away, every one has something new and intriguing to offer. Guitar fans will love Nuno Bettencourt's astonishing guitar trickery, but his prowess does not dominate proceedings. Although Extreme often play with experimental, almost baffling sounds here, the end result is thoroughly memorable in all the right ways.

Superb.

Check out... 'Song For Love'. It's different. Different can be good.
