Album Review: lll Sides To Every Story (1992)
For fans of: hard rock... and self indulgence
Follow up to the amazing Pornograffitti, Extreme's 3rd album is a fine effort but doesn't quite live up to the standards set by its illustrious ancestor.
'Rest In Peace', 'Tragic Comic' and 'Stop The World' and as good as anything from the previous release, but the remaining tracks are always a chunk behind in terms of quality and catchiness. The final track, a rambling twenty one minute three-part epic is self-indulgent and sums up the album.
lll Sides goes on too long and fails to stick in the mind. Great for the best tracks but pretty poor for the others.
Check out... 'Stop The World'. Great ballad.
