Album Review: Indiscreet (1986)
For fans of: hard rock... and Michael Bolton?
Debut album from UK rock act, FM. Indiscreet was released during the 'hair metal' wave and, because the music was nowhere near over-the-top enough, its inception was overshadowed.
Whilst this is isn't a mind-blowingly great album, there are several good tracks including the lighter-inducing ballad 'Frozen Heart'. Lead singer Steve Overland has a ring of Michael Bolton to him, and the rest of the band provide a good backing to his harmonious vocals.
This is a likeable album, but it does lack in spunk. On this evidence FM would never match the likes of Bon Jovi, but they were a credible second tier band nonetheless.
Check out... 'Frozen Heart'.
