Album Review: Tough It Out (1989)

For fans of: hard rock... and British bands sounding suspiciously American

FM - Tough It OutSecond release from FM, Tough It Out is a much brighter and rockier than their first release.. Steve Overland's Michael Bolton-esque vocals are even better here and the production, hollow and lacking on the debut, is much crisper.

Tough It Out trumps its predecessor on song content too. Whilst there may not be a ballad to match 'Frozen Heart', the average quality is much higher. Songs like the title track, 'Don't Stop' and 'Someday' are all hugely memorable. The consistency is not amazing but overall this is a fine release.

Check out... 'Does It Feel Like Love?'.
