FIRES OF BABYLON - stub review added 5th November 2008

Album Review: Fires Of Babylon (Self Titled) (2008)

For fans of: power metal... and Rob Rock

Fires Of Babylon - Fires Of BabylonProject featuring the vocal talents of Rob Rock, Fires Of Babylon is a bombastic exploration of noise and christianity.

The lyrical content is strongly orientated toward the worship of all things god, but this doesn't take anything away from the music. This album is built around a cliff face of sound that is deeper than the Pacific. Shame the riffs and rhythms are not more catchy as this could have been a great album.

As is, there are plenty of okay songs, with 'Lazarus Rising' standing out as a genuinely memorable track. Fires Of Babylon are good at what they do, but if you don't like what they do you probably won't like this...

Check out... 'Lazarus Rising'.
