Album Review: Agent Provocateur (1984)
For fans of: rock... and mind altering ballads
Containing Foreigner's biggest ever single, 'I Want To Know What Love Is', you might imagine Agent Provocateur would be something of a slush fest. In reality this is a hard rocking album with a much rawer feel than their previous release, 4.
There are still a few ballads but this is a better balanced album than previous, and the majority of the songs are more appealing. Lou Gramm's voice is still is creamy as grated mascarpone cheese and Mick Jones keyboard gives that amazing foreigner vibe that no one else has ever properly captured.
Arguably Foreigner's best album. 4 may not contain as many 'big' songs as some of their others, but it contains their best and most consistent collection of tracks.
Check out... 'I Want To Know What Love Is', obviously.
