GIANT - stub review added 6th November 2008
Album Review: III (2001)
For fans of: hard rock... and heavy hitting Robert Palmer covers
After a nine year gap, Giant finally released their third album. III contains a few tracks that didn't make the cut for the previous releases, plus a few newer songs including a rather unnecessary (although annoyingly fun) cover of Robert Palmer's 'Bad Case Of Loving You'.
Whilst this album may not match the previous two releases, songs like 'Don't Leave Me In Love' and 'Can't Let Go' are amongst the best material Giant have ever recorded.
If this is the last record Giant ever release it will be a crime, but they have left an astonishing legacy which deserve more people's attention. Even though this may be their weakest album it still rates way above most other releases you will find.
Check out... The ballads. Again. Simply amazing.
