Album Review: Last Of The Runaways (1989)

For fans of: hard rock... and ballads to die for

Giant - Last Of The RunawaysOne of the most underrated bands of all time, Giant were led by the formidable guitarist/vocalist Dann Huff and his brother David on drums. Dann is now more known for his production skills - working with artists such as Bon Jovi, Megadeth and Peter Cetera - but back in the late 80's and early 90's he has a bona fide rock god.

Last Of The Runaways is a sensational debut crammed with beautifully written and performed songs. The ballad 'I'll See You In My Dreams' was the only song that got any real chart action, but in reality half the songs here should have. With better record label support, this could have been huge.

This is a phenomenal album with an almost perfect set of songs. There are a couple of fillers which hinder its charge for classic status, but the remaining songs are good enough to grace any record collection.

Check out... The amazing ballads. Does anyone write better ones?
