Album Review: Use Your Illusion II (1991)
For fans of: hard rock... and sleazy Bob Dylan covers
Second of Guns 'N' Roses' 1991 twin album releases, Use Your Illusion II has a similar selection of songs to the first - some great, some good, some very average.
'You Could Be Mine' from Terminator 2 is awesome, and the Bob Dylan cover 'Knockin' On Heaven's Door' is also a fine effort, but apart from them (and maybe 'Civil War') it is hard to recommend this release.
Chances are you already know if you are a G'N'R fan. If not I recommend you have a long listen before buying because there isn't as much good material as you might imagine. If you can, download the two or three best songs and forget the rest.
Check out... 'You Could Be Mine'. How good are those drums at the start?
