Album Review: Crucible (2002)
For fans of: heavy metal... and balding brummies
The second Halford album, Crucible isn't in the same league as the first. It's a considerably heavier album which might make it more appealing to some, but the memorable choruses have gone AWOL. After many, many listens Crucible becomes something of a dark horse and can be a good listen when your in the right mood. Sadly, many people will give up before the album reveals it's good side.
A fine album, eventually, but you'll need to want to like it. Think of Crucible as an investment in the stock market rather than a gamble on a horse race.
Check out... 'Golgotha'.
