Album Review: Hope (2008)
For fans of: hard rock... and final ever albums, allegedly
As it stands this is the last album Harem Scarem will be recording. They may well return under a different guise with some new material but nothing is certain at the time of writing.
It would have been great if Hope had been the amazing album Harem Scarem should have always produced, but unfortunately they've travelled in the opposite direction. This is not a bad album, but there is little spunk to the choruses. 'Shooting Star' and the poignant 'Nothing Without You' are typically great tracks but there is less than usual to back them up.
A disappointing finale to the Harem Scarem years. Lets hope they come back in one way, shape or form. These guys are so talented they deserve one album that'll flip the world upside-down.
