Album Review: The Power And The Myth (2004)
For fans of: hard rock... and albums to push under the rug
The first House Of Lords album for twelve years, The Power And The Myth is a nondescript collection of tracks with not a lot going for it.
This isn't a terrible album. It still features James Christian's vocals and nothing he does is ever going to be truly awful, but it's hard to recommend this. The final track is okay and some of the musicianship is impressive, but what they were really lacking was Jimi Bell's guitar skills.
Get the 2006 or 2008 albums instead and you'll see how good House Of Lords can be. The fact they went from this to a 95%+ album in two years is remarkable.
