Album Review: World Upside Down (2006)

For fans of: hard rock... and the best of the best

House Of Lords - World Upside DownFeaturing an exemplary line-up of top musicians including the ultra-talented guitarist Jimi Bell, House Of Lords starts off a couple of rungs above most other bands. With one of the best collections of tracks you could ever hope to hear, World Upside Down carries them the rest of the way up the ladder and beyond.

The album has stonking hard rock, magical ballads, melodious interludes and musicianship that will stun you to your very soul. From the opening harmony of 'These Are The Times' to the orchestral ending of the title track, World Upside Down is purified, filtered, concentrated magnificence.

I could spend this paragraph ranting on about how good each individual song is, how every chorus is bigger than Mount Everest, how the production sets a new benchmark in melodic rock... but I won't. All I can say is: buy it, listen to it, love it.

Few albums of recent times have been this good. Few albums of any times have been this good. Wow!
