Album Review: Screaming Symphony (1996)

For fans of: heavy metal... songs with the word chicken in the title

Impellitteri - Screaming Symphony4th studio album by Chris Impellitteri's eponymous band, Screaming Symphony lives on the border between heavy and power metal. There is some seriously BIG music on the album, plenty of Yngwie style soloing and a rhythm section that'll shake you're fillings free.

Rob Rock is in fine form. To be honest Rob Rock is always in fine form. It's what he does. There's nothing particularly original and orgasmically exciting on the record, but the consistency is impressive. Screaming Symphony is an easy album to listen to. Nothing annoys, nothing seems out of place, there's little you can think of to improve it.

Think of the album as a car by Audi. It is very good, and technically it's as impressive as albums get, but there's an indescribable fire missing. Screaming Symphony will never get your blood flowing like a Jaguar or Porsche.

Check out... 'Countdown To The Revolution'. We like.
