Album Review: No Prayer For The Dying (1990)
For fans of: heavy metal... and naughty bursting through walls Eddie
This, the eighth album by Iron Maiden, is the first with the then new guitarist Janick Gers. Janick had worked with Bruce Dickinson on his solo album and was brought in to replace the departed Adrian Smith.
Any band with the guts to release a song called 'Bring Your Daughter To The Slaughter' deserve a pat on the back, especially as it got to the top of the UK charts. The album contains a few other decent tracks, notably 'Holy Smoke' and 'Run Silent Run Deep'.
Maybe not quite so good as their previous release, but No Prayer For The Dying contains Iron Maiden's most successful single ever and plenty more to like.
Check out... 'Bring You Daughter To The Slaughter'. A great song to sing in church.
