Album Review: Helluva Time (2005)
For fans of: hard rock... and Anastacia covers
First Jaded Heart to feature new vocalist Johan Fahlberg, Helluva Time should have been a disappointment. After all, how do you replace someone with pipes like Michael Bormann's? On top of that, they had just had the disruption of signing to a new label.
Well, Fahlberg may have a more raw voice than Bormann but he suits the surprisingly heavy Jaded Heart sound perfectly. Having songs like 'Hole In My Heart', 'Dreams You'll Never See', 'Love And Desire' and the brilliant cover of Anastacia's 'Paid My Dues' doesn't hinder the search for brilliance either.
There are a few lesser tracks but there is certainly nothing bad. Helluva Time is a fine addition to the Jaded Heart back catalogue and a great way to start a new chapter.
