Album Review: Sinister Mind (2007)
For fans of: hard rock... and disappointment
Second album from the Johan Fahlberg fronted iteration of Jaded Heart, this is a considerably heavier effort than previous. The sound itself is little different to normal, but the ballads and softer moments have been pushed aside. Sadly Jaded Heart have also failed to include one of their fabulous covers on this album.
The title track, plus 'Going Under' and 'Always On My Mind' are fine tracks, but most of the songs are a few percentage points worse than you would like. There's nothing bad, but there is an almost indescribable snippet of catchiness missing from proceedings.
Sinister Mind is still an okay album, it's just not up to the high standards we've come to expect.
