Album Review: Frontiers (1983)
For fans of: rock... and Jonathan Cain's songwriting skills
Follow up the astoundingly good Escape, Frontiers couldn't possibly be as good, could it?
Er, very nearly actually. This is another Journey album with song after song that sends shivers down your spine. Jonathan Cain's songwriting contribution to the band shines through stronger than ever and the sound is of a band strolling along a plateau of brilliance.
Check out... The metallicious riffery in 'Edge Of The Blade'. Journey are a melodic rock act but it doesn't stop them experimenting with other genres.
