Album Review: Painkiller (1990)
For fans of: heavy metal... and motorbikes with ripsaw blades for wheels
Rob Halford's last album with Judas Priest for 15 years, it would be fair to describe Painkiller as a bloody good way to bow out.
The title track, 'Night Crawler' and the sensationally creepy 'Touch Of Evil' are the highlights, but this really is an album with no lowlights. Every track offers something, and even though there may be some repetition in styles and sound it isn't enough to stop this album in its march for greatness.
*Re-released in 2001 as a re-mastered album with two bonus tracks.
Check out... 'Touch Of Evil'. Can't wait to hear it in a horror film.
