Album Review: Psycho Circus (1998)

For fans of: hard rock... and music that isn't necessarily original

Kiss - Psycho CircusAs it stands the last Kiss release featuring all new material, Psycho Circus is not without its share of controversy. Rumours of band members not actually recording the songs themselves pale next to the dispute over the song 'Dreamin''. The song was judged to have been a copy of Alice Cooper's 'Eighteen', and compensation was paid. The sad thing is that 'Dreamin'' is considerably better than the Cooper track.

'Raise Your Glasses' is one of the best party tracks you'll ever hear, and the title track itself is a fine recording. There are a few duffers on Psycho Circus, but the overall vibe is of a feel good band having lots of fun.

Check out... 'Dreamin'' and 'Eighteen'. They are VERY similar...
