Album Review: 2000! (1994)
For fans of: hard rock... and unadulterated brilliance
This is another one of those superb albums that hardly anyone has heard of. With hints of Dokken and Journey but also plenty of uniqueness, 2000! is an emotional trip through the highs and lows of love, loss and laughter.
The album contains several brilliantly fun, uplifting tracks and a few poignant ballads to boot. 'Immaculate Eyes' is one of the best false-love songs of all time with insanely clever lyrics and a sublime tone. 'If You Need Me Tonight', a duet with Robin Beck is just as good.
This is a true stunner of a release. There is zero padding here, making the album sound better than most greatest hits packages. You simply have to listen to this, that's the law!
