Album Review: Significant Other (1999)
For fans of: alternative metal... and blokes with funny voices
With genuinely great tracks like 'Nookie', 'Break Stuff' and 'Trust?', Significant Other is Limp Bizkit's best album. All is relative though, and there isn't an overindulgence of top music to drag you back for another listen.
There are moments of full-on gangsta rap that bear no relation to rock, and even moments of rock that bear no relation to rock. Fred Durst manages to sound less silly than on some of his releases, though he's never going to give Danny Vaughn a run for his money.
Not an inspiring release and not ideal for out and out rock fans, Significant Other is however entertaining in places and nowhere near as bad as it could have been.
Check out... 'Nookie'.
