Album Review: Hybrid Theory (2000)

For fans of: alternative metal... and rap

Linkin Park - Hybrid TheoryMassive selling debut album by Linkin Park, Hybrid Theory is filled with great tracks from start to finish. This isn't a music type that will appeal to everyone, but for a good dose of angst, anger, shouting and screaming this is where it's at.

You could accuse Linkin Park of using the same structure for virtually every song on Hybrid Theory, although there just about remains enough variety for it to not be an issue. The songs have so much passion and so numerous are the memorable riffs, choruses and rhythms you could forgive almost anything anyway.

Hybrid Theory is comfortably the best of the 'Nu-Metal' albums and will most likely remain Linkin Park's finest work too.

Check out... The clip on YouTube by Brandon Muller showing how to make a Linkin Park song. Very funny.
