Album Review: Ever Changing Times (2008)

For fans of: hard rock... and jazz

Steve Lukather - Ever Changing TimesToto member Steve Lukather is one of the most renowned guitarists and writers in the world. On top of his work with his main band he is an in-demand session guitarist who has worked on countless tracks throughout the ages. He has even won a few Grammies for his work - not bad!

Ever Changing Times sees Steve exploring both Toto style music and heavier sounds. This is an album to admire rather than love. It has a few good tracks, and the musicianship and production are somewhere on the other side of perfect, but there isn't much to sing along to and the album has too many personalities.

For technical prowess Ever Changing Times gets almost 100%, but from a pure enjoyment point of view the album is not as successful as you might imagine.

Check out... Steve's work history. It's like a who's who of everyone who exists.
