Album Review: Back To The Light (1992)
For fans of: rock... and perms
First full solo album from Queen guitarist and all round nice bloke Brian May, Back To The Light is much, much better than imagine it would be.
There are some loud rocking moments, a couple of great ballads, some blues and even a few parts that sound just like Queen. Brian's voice is surprisingly good considering he isn't known as a vocalist. The musicianship is of course exemplary.
There are a few experimental moments which grate, and Brians perm is frightening, but this is a great CD and well worth a listen.
Check out... 'Driven By You', but not the version on the Ford advert.
