Album Review: Season's End (1989)

For fans of: rock... and a Celtic sound

Marillion - Season's EndFirst Marillion album after the departure of Fish, Season's End features a number of beautifully crafted synthy pop-rock tunes.

'The Uninvited Guest' is the best track, although a few others are equally appealing. New vocalist Steve Hogarth is a fine replacement for the suspiciously tall Scottish singer/lyricist Fish. His singing style may be less recognisable, but he has a sweet melodic voice which makes the band an easier listen.

A relaxed inoffensive album that won't appeal to everyone, Season's End is surprisingly okay considering the personnel changes that took place during its conception.

Check out... The lack of Fish. Not as bad as it could have been.

Track List:

1. The King Of Sunset Town
2. Easter
3. The Uninvited Guest
