Album Review: Masterplan (Self Titled) (2003)

For fans of: power metal... and Jorn

Masterplan - MasterplanFormed by a couple of ex-members of Helloween, the style of Masterplan should already be obvious. In reality there is more depth here than you'd ever find on a Helloween album. Blame vocalist Jorn Lande for that. His rich voice mixed with multi-layered keyboard and guitars give this album a truly memorable sound.

The majority of the songs have something unique to offer. 'Soulburn' and 'Bleeding Eyes' are a cut above the rest, whilst 'Enlighten Me' is in a completely different league.

This is a brilliant album with a truly unique feel and numerous great tracks. The sound covers many areas of rock and metal and does them all justice.

Check out... 'Enlighten Me'.
