Album Review: Rust In Peace (1990)

For fans of: thrash... and aliens

Megadeth - Rust In Peace4th album by Megadeth, Rust In Peace sees the band producing some of their finest work including 'Holy Wars', 'Hangar 18' and the title track.

This is an absolute blast of an album, with Dave Mustaine, Nick Menza, David Ellefson and Marty Friedman tearing through the tracks at car crash speed. There is a well judged rawness to the album, although the production still sounds polished and clean enough to pick out every note and cymbal smash.

A thrash masterpiece, Rust In Peace would benefit from a few more exceptional tracks, but is still one of the best albums you will hear in this genre.

Check out... 'Hangar 18'. Doesn't it just make you want to check out area 51?
