Album Review: State Of Triumph (2000)
For fans of: power metal... and covers of John Miles songs
Follow up to Millennium Metal, Metalium's second album State Of Triumph is a real let down. There is little to make the album stand out against the sea of power metal releases.
'Erania' and the cover of John Miles' 'Music' are both excellent, but 2 great tracks out of 11 does not a good album make.
Such a disappointment after the first release, State Of Triumph is mostly a machine gun noise-fest with a few glimpses of what should have been. The musicianship is beyond reproach, but the writing needs taking outside and shooting.
