Album Review: ...And Justice For All (1988)
For fans of: thrash... and awesome songs about the dark side of war
Whilst not containing the same number of individually good songs as the 3 previous releases, ...And Justice For All is a much grander standalone experience.
'One' may be widely considered Metallica's greatest ever track, but it's the whole package that matters here. The consistent vibe and haunting sound, mixed with uncompromising heaviness and harshly straight lyrics give the album a consistency missing from earlier albums.
Listen to any song by itself and you may wonder what the fuss is about. Put aside just over an hour and listen to the whole thing from start to finish and you will know.
...And Justice For All may have its detractors, but you won't find them on Rock Realms. This album is simply amazing.
Check out... 'One'. If you haven't heard it live you haven't lived.
